A family friendly home is furnished throughout the Covid lockdown.

Newly married couple closes on their dream home, and the world promptly shuts down. The year, 2020. A wonderful new interior design client and a once in a lifetime challenge.
What resulted was a fun family friendly home in Westfield, New Jersey, furnished with comfort and color.
Speak to any interior designer reflecting on the boom in business over the lockdown and you will realize the monumental tasks we were faced with. Supply chain woes, limited in person meetings-you get the picture.
It was an opportunity to rise to the occasion and flex my decorator sourcing muscles with gusto. Luckily many of the items selected fit into the budget and the timeline.

First up was a home office-of course-with a cozy space to watch tv as well. A family room with 2 seating areas, and a minor redo of a built in bar. The dining room was quickly transformed with an in stock table (thank you @fairfieldchair) and chairs and a dose of pretty with embroidered soft roman shades. The kitchen received more relaxed seating care of @gabbyhome.

The covered porch, which expanded the square footage considerably and offered a work from home escape, was furnished with @summerclassics seating and @braxtonculler dining.

More Decorating Allows for Work at Home
Relying on trusted vendors and my expertise at sourcing I was able to create a haven for this new family in an uncertain time. Round two of décor was added in 2022 with additions to the primary bedroom and the second home office on the third floor, which most reflects the homeowners love of saturated jewel tones and ultra cozy places to perch. Luxury interior design for how YOU live here meant color, comfort and choices that were not available at retail-pandemic or not.
