Collaboration with California Closets on The Gentleman’s Closet
Three Fields, the estate in Mendham, NJ, Morris County which is the chosen site of the 2023 Mansion in May, is a 9000 square foot French manor style home dating from 1930. No stranger to the charitable event that is Mansion in May, which benefits the Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center, I contemplated a room design at this historic property.
Enter California Closets @calclosetsnj with their modern take on the man of the manor’s private quarters. Would I be willing to style their space? It was a perfect pairing as they selected rich contemporary finishes for the walk in closet which I would enhance with carpet, wallcovering, lighting, art and accessories.
A note about collaborative interior design: it’s an honor for me to work alongside other professionals and I feel it lifts both to new heights.
I love the result which feels very current and aside from its looks, its functionality is amazing.
Here is a place for everything, down to the smallest tie pin, as well as a hamper that its truly beautiful. Ever hear of that? It even boasts a bar area for that early morning coffee or an end of day libation.
